At Cargill Tyson Equestrian we offer a specialised training program for elite performance horses, young/green horses and problem horses alike. We cater to horses and ponies of all shapes, sizes and breeds and can provide a very comprehensive developmental experience for horses at all levels across any of the olympic disciplines.

We consider each horses holistic welfare when planning their training schedule every week. This means we will balance dressage training with jumps and gymnastics training and a weekly hack out for our allrounders and we will incorporate pole exercises and trail riding into the dressage horses weekly routines. Our young horses, problem horses and breakers will do desensitising exercises and groundwork regularly as a part of their overall training experience.

Horses in training are worked between 5-6 days per week depending on their needs. Training sessions generally vary from 30 minutes for younger horses and jumping sessions to 45 minutes for intense dressage sessions and breaking and around an hour for hack outs.

If you are sending your horse for training and you live locally you are welcome to swap out one of your horses training sessions for a weekly lesson at no extra cost to you. If you don’t live locally, we can arrange for you to have a lesson on pick up and can even provide a youtube video with training tips specific to you and your horse as a combination moving forward.

Our minimum duration for training is 2 weeks with our most popular training duration being “5 week bootcamp”. The duration of the stay can be discussed throughout the training program if you are not sure how long to book your horse for initially.

While horses are in our care we can arrange any aspects of their care that they require including farrier, dentist, physio and vet. We have a really great extended team of equine specialists who we have carefully sourced throughout the years and you can trust your horses will be given the highest level of care by these highly reputable professionals.
